How to get the most out of your meditation practice

Meditation is fast becoming a buzz word in today’s society. People are searching for the meaning of life and they're wanting to know how to actually find eternal life, beyond just words, which up until now it has only been spoken about. In addition, with the rise of stress and anxiety, now more than ever, this ancient practice is coming back into the foreground of our lives.

There are many different types of meditation, but the ultimate goal of all of them is to find your true self and become complete. This revolutionary meditation practice is about discarding your false body and mind world which is overlapped over your true body and mind – the Body and Mind of the Great Universe. Because it is about discarding, the real key is to meditate as much as possible to come out of that mind world as quickly as possible.

However, in our quest to discard our false mind world’s, we often fall victim into thinking our mind world is real. They either begin to meditate less as they start to feel better, or they give up all together, losing the battle to their false selves.

There are a few things you can do to help you get the most out of your own meditation practice to speed up that journey to your true self – finding God, Buddha, Allah that is within. Here are 5 tips to help you get the most out of your meditation practice:

1) Know that you are living inside your mind world!

The human mind is the mind of pictures, and this is the false world that humans are living inside of. Because it overlaps over the real world, we mistakenly think it to be real. But if you know this fact of facts, meditation becomes so easy!

2) Have gratitude!

It can be said that a grateful mind and a grateful heart are the short cut to finding God within. Even in the bible it says to be grateful for everyday life. But this doesn’t mean to be only grateful when things go your way – it means to be grateful for everything. This attitude and perspective is the right way, as it opens your mind up to the reality that God, Buddha, Allah is always showing you your mind that needs to be discarded. 3) Meditate more than once a day.

This deepens your practice and allows you to discard your false mind more quickly. If you can imagine, the objective is to empty the cup, while you aren’t meditating, you’re just adding to the cup. So quickly empty it to become enlightened of your true self.

4) 5 minutes of meditating in the morning and at night.

This is a great tip to help you keep the surface layer of your mind clean. This meditation is about eliminating the roots of the human mind which overlaps the True Mind. If you can imagine a tree, if we keep the surface clean, it’s like trimming back the leaves in order to get to the branches more easily, and to consequently get to the roots more easily.

5) Meditate while you move.

This is the magic of this method. If you continuously meditate throughout the day and take the method with you everywhere you go, again you are keeping the surface clean – you’re keeping those leaves trimmed so you can quickly get to the roots.

At the end of the day, it’s all up to you. But the reason why you were born is to live forever. So why not hurry that process up to find that out for yourself?

If you keep meditating intensely as much as time allows, you will be able to do it more quickly. Whereas if you meditate less, you will go a little bit more slowly. Either way, it takes time to discard your false self
